Why Pixel exists.
In December 2021, I spent Christmas week fixing a broken website for a client at the agency I worked at. Customers couldn't order their food, including those on NDIS and Homecare. My manager told me to stop working for them immediately at 8pm on Christmas night - no retainer contract, no out-of-hours time. Not our problem.
I kept going anyway - against direct orders. Three months later, I started Pixel.
The idea was simple: build an agency that actually gives a damn. One that takes on the hard problems, builds them properly, and doesn't disappear when something goes wrong.
We started doing both Shopify and Laravel. Last year we dropped Shopify entirely - not because it wasn't profitable, but because we realised platforms were limiting what our clients actually needed. Laravel is where we build things that matter.

We fix things when they break
If you're an active Pixel client and your platform is down, we're on it - no ticket queue, no waiting until Monday. That's the whole reason this agency exists. If you're not a client yet, that's a reason to become one.
We only take on what we can nail
It doesn't come up often - we have a broad range of experience. But if we don't think we can do your project exceptionally well, we'll tell you that upfront rather than take the work and find out halfway through.
We stay after launch
All but two of the clients we've built custom solutions for are still with us. The relationship doesn't end at go-live - that's usually when the real work starts.

A pharmacy platform with government-approved production access to Australia’s national e-prescription network.
certified conformance
The only pharmacy platform in Australia with production-level access to the national e-prescription network, approved by the Australian Digital Health Agency after two to three months of rigorous government review. Patients receive a script token from their doctor, enter it into Canary, and their chosen pharmacy fulfills it in real time — every transaction audited end to end. Eight months after launch, we transformed the platform into a licensed SaaS product. Any pharmacy can now deploy their own branded instance, own their patient relationships, and run on Canary's conformance without building it themselves.

A fully custom Laravel subscription platform with AI-powered order management and automated retention flows - built from the ground up to scale.

Grown 162% since launch on a fully custom Laravel platform — no Shopify, no off-the-shelf tools. Every part of it, from the storefront to the subscription engine to the admin panel, is built and maintained by Pixel. We've since layered in an AI assistant with the ability to generate, cancel, and refund orders against business logic checks, and automated cancellation flows that identify customers trying to leave and offer tailored retention discounts in real time — reducing churn at the moment it matters most.

A full B2B ordering and supply chain platform for medicinal cannabis across Australian pharmacies. Every order involves document compliance: AP/SASB verification, patient initials and date of birth for audit trails, and practitioner access controls for educational content and product databases. Pharmacies place orders, suppliers fulfill them, and every transaction carries the documentation chain the industry requires. Integrated end to end with Xero, Strongroom, and Cart.
